MS Word: Change the number of levels displayed in table of contents in Word 2007

Click somewhere on the table of contents. Then select the References tab in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Then click on the Table of Contents button in the Table of Contents group. Select Insert Table of Contents from the popup menu.

Next, select the formatting for the table of contents. Set the number of levels to display in the Show levels box. Click on the OK button.

When prompted whether to replace the existing table of contents, click on the OK button.

The table of contents should now display the number of levels that you just set.
